National News:

India, on Thursday, reported its first positive case of the novel coronavirus (nCoV) from Kerala with a student, who was studying in Wuhan University and had travelled to India, testing positive for the virus. A Union Health Ministry statement said the "student is in isolation at the hospital. The student is stable and is being closely monitored."

AP News:

The AP Government has published a Gazette notification permitting the Census enumeration for 2021. Principal Secretary Shashi Bhushan Kumar issued a GO MS.No.11 on Thursday, mandating concerned authorities to participate in the Census of India 2021. There are altogether 31 columns to be filled in the enumeration.

High prices kept buyers away from the yellow metal leading to a 9.2 per cent decline in demand for gold in India to 690.4 tonnes in the calendar year 2019 as compared to 760.4 tonnes in 2018. The yellow metal glittered in 2019, with prices rising nearly 25 per cent.
